Sonic Kids of a New World Part 1

This is my third and final collab that I will be working on off and on for now. You will see one of these three stories being updated from time to time, and this will be the last new series that I will be taking on now guys.

This is a collab between me and

I know the title is a little similar to my other sonic kids series, but this one is completely different. You can tell each collab apart depending on the artists who does the picture so keep that in mind.

Sonic Kids of a New World

Part 1: Awakening

After the blast of light from the genesis wave, Sonic was immediately blinded as the light of the universe resetting once again by Eggman was underway. However this time, after Eggman’s interference, Sonic had no idea if his reset was going to take or take properly this time as unlike the first time, Eggman had interfered with the resetting process. Sonic could only hope as he hovers there blindly and is engulfed by light that everything was going to be alright and as he knew it to be.

Everything was bright and blinding for quite a while before the brightness was beginning to wear off now. Sonic hadn’t been able to feel much of anything during the reset process, this most likely just his body readjusting from being Super Sonic not long ago and now he was being placed back into the world he knew for so long. However, unknown to Sonic, things were different now thanks to Eggman’s meddling, much different.

As Sonic was beginning to finally open his eyes as the light was fading from around him to where he was going to be able to see once again, something immediately bonks into the side of his head that not only immediately gets his attention, but also gives him a sudden thud to his side to where he tumbles over from the sudden impact he received. Thinking that he was under attack, Sonic is quick to spin to his side and jump to his feet in preparation to counter attack whatever it was that just took a strike at him.

“Cheap trick Eggman, but I’m not going to be taken out that easy!” yells Sonic as he stands up in a pose that looks like he was ready to strike back with a counter.

However, when Sonic looks around him, he is immediately met with two pairs of eyes staring back at him in confusion. Not only that, Sonic was looking confused as well when he was able to get a more clear look around him at not only who but what had supposedly attacked him. Standing not too far away from him were two young boys, that didn’t look to be any more than two or three years old, however, the two young boys looked very familiar to Sonic. The older of the two boys was a red echidna, while the younger of the two boys was a yellow twin tailed fox. It was obvious that it was Knuckles and Tails, two of Sonic’s good friends that were standing in front of him. Yet, the Knuckles and Tails that were standing in front of him were not only small looking compared to the couch they were standing next to, but they were also both standing there in nothing but their sneakers and white diapers around their waist. Also, sitting right in front of Sonic’s feet was a round blue ball with a star on it. It was becoming clear that this was what had just hit him upside the head. It wasn’t an attack at all.

“Eggman? What are you talking about Sonic?” asks Knuckles curiously after seeing Sonic react from not paying attention to the ball when it was hit turn and getting bonked in the head by it.

“Is he is a villain in one of those super hero shows you watch?” asks Tails curiously as this was the first the young fox had heard of someone by this name.

Sonic looked at the two of them in great shock as their current size was leaving him currently stunned, as well as their responses being quite bazar to him. The two of them not only looked like toddlers, but neither one of them had apparently heard of Eggman either. Something was wrong here. This wasn’t what he remembered his world being like at all, but after the genesis wave swept over him, this was apparently where he was now.

“Wait wait, what’s going on here?!” says Sonic looking around confused.

As he looked around, Sonic noticed that he was currently standing in what looked like a large kids playroom as there were toys all over the place, many different kids play things, as well as an entertainment area with a huge long L shaped couch which had a table sitting in front of it and a tv with various things hooked up to it as well. It looked like he was in some kind of kid’s nursery or daycare of some sorts as the walls were also decoration occasionally with little animals and toys to show as well the kid like atmosphere that was all around him. Something was definitely wrong here.

“You okay Sonic?” asks Knuckles curiously as he starts to walk towards Sonic now.

“I hope Knuckles didn’t hurt you with the ball.” says Tails as he begins to walk towards Sonic as well.

The two of them had seen Sonic get bonked pretty good with that ball when he hadn’t been paying attention before, and both of them were a bit worried that they may have hurt Sonic. Knuckles was a little more worried as it was him that had thrown the ball, and he has been told more than once about being careful about how hard he throws the ball at people whenever they play with them. He has thrown them too hard before in the past and it hadn’t ended well for the people on the receiving end of the ball.

Sonic takes a step or two back when the two of them start to approach him as he wasn’t sure what to do now in this situation, but it was at this point that when he begins to move just a bit, there was a strange light crinkling noise with each step that he takes. It didn’t take long for Sonic’s gaze to go down and he notices that around his own waist was another white diaper, just like the ones that the two kids coming towards him were wearing. It was also at this point that Sonic noticed that not only were Knuckles and Tails little kids, but his own body was just as small as theirs were. He was a toddler as well.

“What in the world!?” says Sonic sort of on the loud side as he looks down at the diaper around his own waist and then looks up again seeing Knuckles and Tails now standing not too far away from him, but also looking a bit surprised when he shouts out like that.

“Sonic? What’s wrong?” asks Tails curiously as the young fox was looking a little worried now about Sonic, who in a way he considered his big brother after how much the hedgehog looks after him.

“Why am I a toddler!?” asks Sonic looking a bit panicked at the moment as he looks around some more wondering where in the world he was and why he was looking the way he was looking at the moment.

Both Knuckles and Tails look at each other very confused when Sonic says this as it really didn’t make much sense to either of them. Sonic wasn’t making any sense to them and their confusion was showing quite clearly.

“Why are you a toddler? When have you not been?” asks Knuckles curiously as he scratches his head in confusion.

“Since always! I’m not a toddler, I’m seventeen years old! I should be big and tall, and so should the both of you!” says Sonic flailing his arms a bit to show his panicked worried state to the two boys standing in front of him.

Knuckles and Tails both look at each other once again in confusion when Sonic says this to the two of them. Something had definitely gotten into Sonic’s head for him to suddenly freak out like this and to think that he was seventeen years old and should be big and not his current size.

“Sonic, were you daydreaming again?” asks Tails curiously as he had on occasion caught Sonic just lost in thought staring at a window or the tv before and has lost himself in thought due to how into a daydream he can get at times. Tails was just assuming this was another one of those situations.

“I’m not daydreaming guys! I’m supposed to be seventeen, same with you Knuckles. Tails, you are supposed to be around eleven years old as well. We were just in a big battle with our enemy Eggman and right after he was defeated, I was trying to restore our world to what it was supposed to be but I got interrupted from my restoration. Eggman must have altered our world to where we are all toddlers now! We need to hurry up and try and reverse this now!” says Sonic as he explains himself to the two boys in front of him.

With Sonic’s explanation, both boys were now standing here staring at Sonic in great confusion as not a single thing Sonic was saying was making sense to them at all. This person Eggman, a battle and the fact that they were all supposed to be teenagers or something, it was all very confusing to the two boys. Not only this, but they were starting to wonder if something was wrong with Sonic now or if he had really been into that daydream.

“Did I hit you that hard with the ball Sonic? If I did, I didn’t mean to hit you THAT hard. It only looked like a little bump anyway.” says Knuckles a little concerned for the moment that he may have caused this with Sonic.

“Nononono! This has nothing to do with being hit by some ball. It’s the truth guys!” says Sonic shaking his head and waving his hands to the two of them as he tries to express that what he was saying was the truth.

“Ummm, right.” says Knuckles scratching his head in confusion now as he wasn’t sure what else he was supposed to say to this.

“Sonic, you must have been having a dream or something as none of that stuff has ever happened. We’ve always been the sizes we are, well, before now we were younger, but you know what I mean.” says the young fox, who despite his small size did seem to still be pretty bright as he was looking to be thinking on this situation quite a bit and trying to at least understand it, even if it was confusing him just as much as it was Knuckles.

Sonic groans a little bit and shakes his head as he doesn’t seem to be getting through to either one of his friends. The two of them both seem to think he was dreaming or be suffering from some kind of head trauma from a ball hit to the side of the head. While sudden, the ball thump hadn’t hurt at all, so it wasn’t like it would do much to Sonic when it hit him.

“I’m not dreaming guys! I’m serious! What I’m saying is true!” says Sonic shaking his head a bit frustrated as he hated when people didn’t believe the things he was telling them.

“Ummm, yeah. Why don’t you go get something to drink Sonic? I’m sure Rosie won’t mind giving you something to drink if you ask her.” suggests Tails as he just thinks Sonic is still confused after either daydreaming for a while or remembering a dream he was having and thinking it was real. It was really the only explanation that the young fox could think of at all to explain this as nothing Sonic was saying was really making sense to him.

“Rosie!? She’s here?” asks Sonic a bit surprised to hear this as Rosie wasn’t someone he was expecting to hear about, but at the same time, Rosie was an adult and maybe he could convince an adult that something was wrong and that this wasn’t how things were supposed to be.

“Of course Sonic. Rosie is always here. She’s probably either in the kitchen or the laundry room during playtime.” says Tails telling Sonic where most commonly the person in charge of them was located at around this time.

“Which way is the kitchen?” asks Sonic curiously and excitedly as he figured this was his best shot and he wanted to find Rosie as soon as possible.

“Ummm, where it has always been Sonic. It is right through that door over there.” says Tails pointing to an open walkway on the other end of the playroom.

Even from where they were standing at the moment, it was clear from the tilled floor and the counter that was visible from the playroom that it was a kitchen through the archway. This was all Sonic had to know, since if Rosie was that way, that is where he needed to go.

“Thanks guys! I’ll get this fixed in no time. Don’t go anywhere!” says Sonic as he turns and starts to speed off towards the kitchen. It was a bit awkward at first trying to run with the diaper between his legs, but it wasn’t hindering him too much and Sonic just wanted to hurry and find Rosie to try and convince her that something was wrong here. As Sonic runs away, Knuckles looks back to Tails with a confused look on his face, which Tails also had on his face.

“What was that about?” asks Knuckles looking very lost at the moment.

“I wish I knew Knuckles. I’m sure Sonic will be fine though.” says Tails with a hopeful look on his face.

“You sure? That stuff he was saying made no sense at all.” says Knuckles in response.

“Don’t worry. Sonic just has a very good imagination. I’m always impressed with the adventures he can come up with during playtime. They are always so fun. He must just be in the middle of one of them at the moment.” says Tails with a smile on his face as he bends down to get the ball that Sonic had left behind from their game.

“Hmmm, I guess so. Come on, let’s just get back to the game and let him deal with that.” says Knuckles shrugging as he looks ready to get back to doing what the two of them were doing behind that whole episode with Sonic had started.

As Sonic runs away from the two boys to head to the kitchen, he is suddenly met with another obstruction. As Sonic was just about to enter the kitchen, someone suddenly walks around the corner and right into his path. Sonic doesn’t even have a chance to react as he suddenly collides with this other person and both he and the other person are thudded into each other and fall back onto the floor with another good jolt.

“OUCH! WATCH IT SONIC!” yells out the person that had been run into, obviously knowing who it was that ran into them like that as well.

Sonic shakes his head as he leans up to see what it was that he had hit. Sitting across from him on the floor was a female pink hedgehog wearing a red t-shirt, red shoes, and a white diaper around her waist. It was pretty clear who this was as well to Sonic. It was Amy. Though she wasn’t alone as coming up behind Amy were two others, both of them rabbits, one of them bigger, wearing a pink shirt, a diaper, but also was covered on the lower half with robot parts. It was clear as well to Sonic that it was Bunnie, who also looked to be about three years old. Yet also beside Bunnie was a younger rabbit wearing an orange shirt and a white diaper as well was following along with the other two girls. It was Cream. Sonic was shocked to see the three girls here as well and not only that, they were also in the same condition as Knuckles and Tails. This was even more surprising to him to see them like this as well and all together.

“Bunnie! Cream! Amy!? What are you three doing here?” asks Sonic as he immediately jumps back up to his feet, though he did have to adjust himself a bit as landing on that diaper when he feel did feel a little funny for some reason.

“We WERE going to head over to playhouse to play with our dolls, but then you ran into me!” says Amy stamping her foot a bit looking a bit annoyed at the moment at Sonic.

“Amy are you alwight?” asks Cream walking over to Amy to check on her to make sure she wasn’t hurt from being run into by Sonic like that.

Cream, due to her younger age, did seem to have a bit of a toddler lisp to some of her words, but for the most part it sounded like she was still understandable and talking well enough. Amy had no problem understanding Cream at all as she adjusts her shirt a little bit and brushes at her diaper while nodding to Cream.

“I’m fine Cream.” says Amy.

“Sugar, you shouldn’t be running through doors like that. Don’t you remember what Rosie told you the last time you ran into someone by just running through doors so suddenly?” asks Bunnie putting her arms to her side not looking too happy with Sonic at the moment as this wasn’t the first time this has happened with others encountering Sonic’s zippiness.

“Huh? Nonono! I mean why are you here in this place as well? Did everyone get affected by this mistake?” asks Sonic shaking his head to try and get them to realize what he meant.

“Mistake? What mistake?” asks Bunnie now looking very confused at what Sonic was talking about at the moment.

“That we are now little kids! We shouldn’t be little kids, we should all be teenagers!” says Sonic flailing his arms a bit trying to show his worried state to the girls and to try and get them to believe him.

However, Sonic was receiving the same looks from the girls that he had just gotten from the boys that he had just left on the other side of the room. They were giving him confused looks and stares as what he had just said made absolutely no sense to any of them. It was becoming more clear even at this moment that Sonic wasn’t getting anywhere with this as no one was apparently understanding a thing he was saying, which in a way did make a little bit of sense. It still wasn’t sitting well with him though.

“Ummm, is this a game you are playing Sonic?” asks Amy now looking confused instead of upset like she had been a bit ago.

“NO! It’s not a game. It’s the truth!” says Sonic showing his frustration that they weren’t believing him, even though it was starting to become clearer that the others may not understand what he was saying at all.

“Sonic, maybe you need a nap?” asks Bunnie curiously as she was starting to wonder what in the world could be wrong with Sonic and if he was getting a bit fussy and confused now because he might be tired.

“Ugh, I’m not tired. What I’m saying is real!” says Sonic still trying to prove his point, even though it doesn’t seem to be working that well at the moment.

The girls look at each other very confused before looking back at Sonic once again. It was clear that they didn’t believe him and still thought he was playing some sort of game more than likely or was tired.

“Ummm, right. Maybe you should go talk with Rosie about this Sonic? She’s right there in the kitchen.” says Amy pointing back into the kitchen where they had just come from a moment ago.

Sonic just sighs at this as he figures that this was a lost cause trying to get these three to understand what he was trying to say. What Amy just said though made sense to him. He did want to find Rosie as that was who he was going to look for in the first place, as he still figures if anyone would believe him, it would be her as she was an adult and would understand his plight more than a toddler would after all.

“Sure thing, will do!” says Sonic as he starts to jog away from the girls instead of trying to run this time just in case there was another shock as he had already gotten two shocks to his body after waking up here.

As Sonic curves around the girls and heads into the kitchen, the girls look at each other with a confused look on their face.

“What was dat about Amy? Sonic was confoozing.” says Cream looking back to Sonic as he jogs into the kitchen before looking back up to Amy again.

“I don’t know Cream. That was very weird.” says Amy as she gives a shrug before starting to walk towards the doll house area where the three of them had been planning to go before.

“Yeah, it was weird. Hopefully Rosie can figure out what is wrong with him.” says Bunnie as she follows along with the girls as they head off to play now.

Sonic didn’t have time to worried about the three girls as he heads into the kitchen and finally does see Rosie standing over at the sink looking to be washing dishes. Due to how much Sonic had seen Rosie while he was growing up, she looks completely normal to him, which was a good thing in his eyes. He didn’t know if she was affected by this change as well or not, but being an adult, he figures that she might be more willing to listen to him.

“Rosie! You gotta help me!” yells out Sonic when he sees her as he immediately tries to get her attention.

Rosie does immediately turn away from the water when she hears Sonic call out to her as she turns to look at him. Rosie did actually look a little younger than she did the last time Sonic had seen her, but she now looked more like the Rosie he had grown up seeing a lot, so this didn’t bother him at all.

“Sonic? Is something wrong? Are you okay?” asks Rosie curiously as she was a bit surprised to hear Sonic come running into the kitchen calling her like this.

“Yes! I need some help. Things are all nutty at the moment!” says Sonic running over towards Rosie the best he could at the moment.

“What seems to be wrong?” asks Rosie curiously as she grabs a towel and turns to face Sonic.

Though before Sonic could reply back to Rosie, there was some clattering behind Rosie as suddenly from behind her long dress, two more toddlers peek out from around her. Apparently Rosie hadn’t been alone while she was doing the dishes as two others had been helping her put things away and he been hidden from view until now. What Sonic saw now, was an even greater shock than anything else he had seen yet.

“Rosie? What’s going on?” asks a female chipmunk who makes herself known and visible to Sonic.

What Sonic saw had his eyes immediately going wide. Standing there not far from him was a three year old looking female chipmunk with red hair, a blue zip up shirt and a white diaper around her waist. Standing next to the chipmunk was a similarly aged and sized black and brown female lynx who was wearing a purple top and a white diaper around her waist as well. Sonic couldn’t believe who it was in front of him. It was Sally and Nicole, but Sally was now a normal Mobian again and was no longer a robot like he last remembered seeing her as. Sonic couldn’t hold himself back as he suddenly felt himself get very happy and runs forward and grabs Sally in a big hug.

“SALLY! You are okay now! This is great! You aren’t a robot anymore!” says Sonic as he grabs Sally and hugs onto her pretty tightly and happily.

This caught everyone off guard as Sonic seemed like he hadn’t seen Sally in a long time and was now hugging onto her rather tightly which Sally hadn’t been expected and didn’t seem to like that it was done so suddenly either.

“Sonic!? What are you doing!? Let go!” says Sally struggling a bit in surprise as she wasn’t sure what in the world was going on at the moment.

“Sonic? What are you doing to Sally and what do you mean robot?” asks Nicole looking very confused at the moment as she had been caught off guard as well by the sudden grabby hug that Sonic was currently giving Sally at the moment.

“Sonic what are you doing? Let Sally go this instant.” says Rosie looking very confused but she could also see that Sally wasn’t really enjoying being hugged the way she was getting hugged at the moment and so suddenly as well by Sonic.

Sonic hears this but doesn’t let go right away as he was too happy to see Sally back to normal, or at least mostly back to normal as she was not a toddler like everyone else that he had encountered at the moment. It was obvious that everyone most likely had been affected by the genesis wave in this manner, but how he was going to reverse it now, he had no clue. He first had to try and get people to believe him and not just think he was dreaming or imagining things.

Sally did push at Sonic a little more before finally making him let go with a little help from Rosie as she bends down and grabs onto Sonic and starts to pull him up off the ground and into her arms. This was a bit of a shock to Sonic when he was made to let go of Sally, but also the fact that he was actually being picked up by someone as this hadn’t happened in a long time. He was spun around a bit to be placed into Rosie’s arms and made to face her as she holds him.

“What was that about Sonic, and what’s this help that you need?” asks Rosie curiously wanting to get straight to the point with Sonic as there was no need to not be direct with kids who sort of needed to be talked to in a direct manner.

Sally gave herself a bit of a shake after having Sonic let go of her as he had caught her so off guard by the hug and also had wrinkled her clothes up quite a bit as well from how snuggly he had had that hug on her. Nicole looked a little concerned at Sally at first, but her attention does quickly move up to Sonic. The same went for Sally as both girls are now looking up at Sonic wondering what all that was about now as it wasn’t like Sonic to act like that.

“Sorry, but I haven’t seen Sally normal in a long time now. She has been a robot for quite a while and now that she is back to normal, I guess I just was happy to see her.” says Sonic blushing just a little bit as he hadn’t expected to react like that when he first saw Sally, but he was just so happy to see her that he really couldn’t help himself.

“A robot? Is this some sort of game you and Sally were playing earlier?” asks Rosie curiously as this was her first thought on the matter.

“Nono! It’s real! This is all not real. We should all be much older. I should been seventeen years old as well as all of us! Also, how is Nicole walking around on her own instead of being in her computer?” asks Sonic curiously as he does notice that they look to be in a normal building and Nicole was not only walking around normally, but also she was wearing a diaper just like everyone else was as well.

“Stuck in a computer? Why would I be in a computer? Yes, I like playing on the computer that Rosie has, but I don’t think I’ve ever been stuck inside of it.” asks Nicole looking very confused.

“Why would I be a robot? We haven’t been playing a game where I was pretending to be a robot any time lately.” says Sally as the two girls look at each other very confused at the moment at the stuff Sonic was saying.

“Sonic, I think your imagination is starting to get away from you at the moment. Maybe we should let you go outside a bit more and not let you watch those cartoons you like so much” says Rosie now starting to think Sonic has been having too much TV that he was starting to think he was part of some of the fantasy shows he liked to watch at times.

“But it’s true! I swear it! Eggman reset our dimension wrong when I was trying to fix things and now we are all little kids!” says Sonic flailing his arms to Rosie while he lies there in her arms.

“Alright Sonic, I think that’s enough. Your imagination is starting to run wild at the moment I think you are in need of a nap. Sally isn’t a robot, and Nicole isn’t trapped in a computer or something. I don’t know what you have been watching on TV lately that has you so into it like this, but I think we need to get you some fresh air later.” says Rosie letting Sonic know that she wasn’t believing a thing Sonic was saying and she was really thinking he was in need of a nap if his mind was wandering this far out there now.

“That’s enough Sonic. I know you may think all the things you see on the TV are real, but not everything is real that you see on it. This is real life, cartoons on TV are make believe and what you are saying sounds like one of the make believe stories you hear on those cartoon. Do you understand that?” asks Rosie trying to see if she was getting through to Sonic at all.

Sonic sighs at this point as it was becoming even clearer that not only did none of his friends believe him when it came to how things used to be in his head, but Rosie didn’t believe him either. She just thought he had been watching too much TV and needed a break from it for a while. Sonic was getting nowhere fast and he was starting to see that. He would have to find some other way of proving what he was saying as just outright telling them what he was experiencing wasn’t working at all and just made others think he was weird.

With no other options at the moment, Sonic finally just gives a nod to Rosie as he figured arguing with her at this point would not get him anywhere at this point. This did seem to make Rosie happier as she finally does smile to Sonic to show she was happy now. The two girls that were still on the floor watching just stayed quiet for the moment as they figured they would be getting back to work helping Rosie with the dishes when she was done dealing with Sonic.

“That’s a good boy. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure and let you go outside to play a little more often so your imagination doesn’t get away from you so much from that TV. It is better that adventures like that from your head happen in normal play, so that it doesn’t confuse you.” says Rosie with a smile as she gives Sonic a pat on the head.

Sonic did sort of like the pat on the head, but it wasn’t of big concern to him right now as trying to figure out a way to explain the situation to others was his most important thing on his mind right now. While this new world may not a horrible one to be in, it couldn’t be the correct world as the world in his mind was vastly different from where he was at the moment. Not to mention, his body was completely different as well, even if his mind was still intact at the moment.

Sonic was figuring he was about to be put back down onto his feet, so that he could think for a while and maybe figure out what else is going on in this universe he was in but this didn’t seem to happen. As Rosie was about to put Sonic down, she does feel at him a bit as she was holding him and does notice something that does get her attention right away. It was something that always did, since it affected all of the kids that were under her care at the moment.

“Hmmm, I think you may need a diaper change Sonic. Feels like you are wet.” says Rosie as she gives a small smile while letting Sonic know what he needed at the moment.

This did get a small giggle from the girls when it was brought up, but it did get Sonic’s attention as well. His eyes immediately went very wide when he heard what Rosie had just said to him. It was something he was hoping wouldn’t be the case, but unknown to Sonic, as he had been so preoccupied trying to figure out a solution to his new problem, he hadn’t realized that this entire time, that the diaper he was wearing was actually a little damp. He had thought something was odd about it when he fell after running into Amy, but he hadn’t realized that was what it was. All Sonic could do was look up at Rosie wide eyed and very surprised.

“I need a WHAT?!” he says with a very shocked look on his face as he now realizes what he was in for now in this new world.

This was going to be quite the experience indeed.
